The only local kids' 17 hours Hindi Entertainment channel in India, Hungama TV has been on high heels since its inception and now it has reached the second position in kids channel genre. It hosts two of the most popular comedy shows of Japan, Doraemon and Shinchan, which is, probably, the key to its popularity. It has introduced language feeds in Telugu and Tamil.

As a kids' channel, Hungama TV once received a number of complaints about Shinchan, which is actually meant as an adult show in Japan. Several sources say that guardians complained against hosting this program, because, according to their claim, children learned bad habit and abusing words from this serial.

As a result, the said program, Shinchan, was stopped telecasting. This, in turn, turned the fans of Shinchan disappointed towards Hungama TV and wanted a re-telecast of Shinchan. The period when Shinchan was stopped was utilized to remove scenes and languages that would probably be harmful to children. This program was again telecast on Hungama TV. Thus the channel remained as popular as before.
